Cyanotype - Negative
and exposure tests
Consider
that each process
reacts to light in a different manner, and because of this preparing
a negative for the type of process and the desired effect can take time.
For instance a negative that give a certain result with the cyanotype
process may not give the same result with Gum bichromate or Van Dyke
Brown.
If
we create the negative digitally we can alter the contrast to suit the
process
While
we can alter the degrees of contrast - added or subtracted - in photoshop
as a reference we can also utilize a profile which can be dropped in.
We
can also create and add a tonal chart along side the image, which allows
us to gauge the density of the image in relationship to the negative
and the exposure.
