Yering Station Sculpture Award- Green Expectations - © Lloyd Godman

Following the ANU VIVID exhibition, Carbon Obsura was packed up and Peter Fitzpatrick drove back to Melbourne, where the work was reassembled at Yering Station Sculpture Award. In 2007, Amanda Ruck and Savaad Felich who had seen the first Carbon Obscura in the Greenhouse at Montsalvat has asked me to submit a version of the work for the Yering Station Sculpture Award, however as I was engaged with the residency at L'Arbre de Vie / Chateau de Blacons, France where I installed another version of the Carbon Obscura work so it was not until 2008 that I had the opportunity to submit the work for the exhibition.

All the pieces were engraved with a number system to make reassemblage easier. However no matter how well this was done it still became a giant jigsaw puzzle each time we reassembled the work.
