These
images were made from light projections through a small
arrangement of bromeliad plants suspended from the ceiling.
Each projector had a different coloured filter, red, blue
or green over the lens and was linked to an infrared sensor
that triggered the projection by movement of viewer
within the space. The three projectors were also positioned
at different locations within the room so as to project
different shadow drawings of the plants on a white screen.
As different projectors turned on and off, various
random patterns were created similar to some of the sequences
below.
This was
an experiment towards the larger work at the Temple Gallery,
in July 1999.
