Gooseberries

There are 2 Gooseberries - The first was planted in the winter of 2006 - then the other in the winter of 2007. Originally they were planted on the north facing side of the orchard valley and this proved to be far to hot - In the winter of 2008 I moved the berry friuts to the south facing side and created a terrace which was designed to retained water - here the plants did much better and produced some fruit. However late in the summer of 2009 they were attacked by parrots.
