What is a Camera ? the darkened chamber could be the size of a room

It could be an existing room with few openings

This has many advantages in that it is very easy to darken the space.

 

 

1:1:2

an existing room with a glass frontage

This presents a much greater challange that requires, planning, more materials and time.

Chose an opaque material that has a reflective surface facing outward. Some modern glass materials have been known to explode when subjected to temperature differneces.

a structure that is built specifically for this purpose

In terms of location, this offers great flexability, but again requires good planning, more materials and time.

a natural structure like a cave

This poses an even greater challange to create a light tight seal around the edge of the chamber.
