The main sufing beach at Aramoana is below the cliffs and to the right
of where the breakwater meets the land. Down the beach from here are two
rocky out crops that protrude into the ocean and they create snad banks
that encourage the waves to peel of.
Godman has surfed here regualry since the late 1960s
when ever the north swell is made clean by the southerly winds.
The small township of Aramoana is located on the left of the image. Beyond
the Point on the right lies, Kai Kai beack, urduring Bay (whare ake ake), and
then Long Beach and Goat Island.
