Besides james K Baxter, there have been other "artists" that have lived or been moved to make make work on the Brighton area.

Annie Baird lived in Brighton as a girl, Colin McCohan was influenced by Brighton. Sydney Mann the violinist lived in there for many years. Pauline Rhodes has worked on Brighon Beach.
