Photographic Syntax - Perspective - Oblique angle of view

When the camera is positioned at an oblique angle to the subject the perspective is exaggerated in a different way where the lines pointing to the vanishing point become more acute. The closer to the subject and the wider the angle of the lens the more exaggerated the effect becomes.

Building photographed from directly in front.

The same building Photographed from one end.
