Signal Processing All
electronic imaging systems must process the electrical voltages recorded
by light sensors while minimizing noise and other irregularities that
can be inadvertently alter pixel values. Accurate signal processing
(including the sampling of original image values, analog-to digital
conversions, sharpening, compression, interpolation and others) is crucial
to image quality. Heat, electrical interferences from motors and optical
imperfections are some of the factors that can degrade signal processing.
