Using a vertical photographic copy stand

Depending on the bed size and the height of the stand, vertical copy stands are idea for copying small to medium sized works. The camera and the base where the original sits can be set on a parallel level. This allows the head where the camera attaches, to be raised or lowered so the image fills the camera frame while retaining the level of both.

Commercial vertical copy stands are available used for copying unique, valuable, or collectable documents and for duplicating one-of-a-kind prints. While the size of the works which can be copied is restricted by the height the head can be raised, they are excellent for copying sampler works. They combine a tripod, lights and a shooting surface in a single convenient desktop device.
