Placing
a point in the centre of the frame may seem logical, but it also
creates a static and uninteresting image - most often it is not
the best option.

The decision then become
how far off centre an in what direction.
The more eccentric
the position the more it demands justification. Notice in this

Because
of the chaotic nature of the world around us, free placement by
the photographer of the subject in any part of the frame is never
guaranteed, and you may have to make compromises. Here the angel
appears to look out of the frame and there is a huge area of dead
space in the lower left part of the image.
