There are special black and white enlargers that have a set of Multi Contrast filters built into the head. By dialing in the correct filter combination the grade of the paper can be altered.
Colour
enlargers have three filters, built into the head to adjust
the colour balance of the light for a colour enlargement.
These filters can also be used for black and white printing
and various manufactures give conversion charts as to the
equivalent grade of black and white when specific filters
are in play. |
