Metropolitan Moments

in a shadow dance with real figures on the way to nowhere
texture speaks as a twisted blackness moves by
cement and stone bite at their heels
nip at their ears
people lost in living fight the encasement of walled canyons
bricks and mortar of existence
force them to shy a reflective window above
