Landscape discovered - a reading for Miles Green by Lloyd Godman

Landscape discovered, claimed, processed, lost
Collected over and over with the desperation of a threatened species until eventually they are…exactly Extinct
they exist but are something else,
another species modified, altered
“place HM” something other than the original discovery exists

they are photographed optically
Mapped
scanned,
printed,
boxed
and sold Sold to a buyer

they become the momento the souvenir
the photographic replica
the memory trigger
proof of experiencing the location

then they laid out neatly for dinner,
the full three course meal
a cup of tea, with
coffee, ops, a stain
next week a burn,
or slowly worn off with the washing of time
as a rust oxidised
